Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 1, 2026
Think in Numbers ("we", "us", or "the app") helps you understand how you spend your time by turning a plain-language description of your day into a structured breakdown of your hours. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using the app you agree to the practices described here.
Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information. When you sign in, our authentication provider collects your name, email address, username, and profile photo.
- Your daily logs. The text you write to describe your day, the time categories and durations derived from it, goals you set, and any notes you add. These entries may contain personal details that you choose to share.
- Voice recordings. If you log by voice, we capture the audio so it can be transcribed into text. The audio is used to produce the transcript and is not used for any other purpose.
- Photos. If you set a profile picture, we access the image you select from your photo library. We do not access your photo library for any other reason.
- Payment information. If you subscribe, payments are processed by our payment provider. We receive confirmation of your subscription status but we do not collect or store your full card details.
- Diagnostics and usage data. We collect crash reports and error diagnostics to keep the app stable, along with basic device information such as device model and operating system version.
- Product analytics. We record in-app events — such as opening the app, completing onboarding, logging a day, creating a goal, or sharing a card — associated with your email and name, to understand engagement and improve the app.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide the core features of the app, including parsing your day into time categories and tracking goals and streaks.
- To create and secure your account and keep you signed in.
- To transcribe voice entries into text.
- To process subscriptions and manage access to paid features.
- To diagnose problems, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.
- To understand how the app is used and measure engagement so we can improve it.
- To send notifications you have enabled, such as daily reminders.
AI Processing
To turn your words into a structured time breakdown, the text of your daily logs (and transcripts of voice entries) is sent to third-party AI providers for processing. This text is used only to generate your results and is transmitted securely. We do not sell this content, and it is not used to display advertising to you.
Third-Party Services
We rely on trusted service providers to operate the app. Each receives only the information needed to perform its function:
- Clerk — authentication and account management.
- OpenAI and Google — AI processing of your logs and voice transcripts.
- Razorpay — payment and subscription processing.
- Sentry — crash and error reporting.
- Amplitude — product analytics and usage measurement.
- Cloudflare R2 / Amazon S3 — storage of profile images.
- Neon — database hosting for your account and logs.
These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy and security commitments.
How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the service providers listed above so they can perform their functions, or when required by law, to protect our rights, or to respond to a valid legal request. If you share a summary or progress card from the app, only the content you choose to share is made visible.
Data Retention
We keep your account information and logs for as long as your account is active. Voice recordings are retained only as long as needed to produce a transcript. When you delete your account, we delete your associated personal data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain certain records by law.
Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your data and limit access to it.

- You can delete your daily logs and goals at any time.
- You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.

Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than the one in which you live. By using the app, you consent to the transfer of your information to these locations, which may have different data protection rules than your jurisdiction.
